Why So Cheap?

Sometimes when I tell people about what we are doing and that we've managed to keep the weekend cost to $50 they can't believe that

but we did it because we know how hard it is to spend money on yourself - especially when you are a mama, when you are a one income family, when there are so many needs that have to come before wants. It was important to us to do this as cheaply as we could.

so...what's included?

A fabulous venue and amazing speakers on Saturday morning, a panel, workshops

Spot prizes

Goodie bags

Dinner on Saturday night (Starters and Mains) are INCLUDED in your registration - if you want drinks you'll need to budget for that

supper on Friday and Morning Tea on Saturday.....

and probably most of your transportation around on the weekend, and for some of you your billeted accommodation

and if you come on time to Sunday brunch we might just cover your first caffeine hit of the day too :o)

stuff like that

What's not included
other food during the weekend - lunch Sat, breakfast Sunday, bus trips, your flights or petrol money, the little treats you might buy on a weekend away.....

Why can we do this for $50?

Because this whole get together is run on the fuel of enthusiasm, volunteers, and good will

All our speakers have paid their own conference fees, they are paying to travel to Christchurch and some of them for accommodation too.... because they believe in bloggers and encouraging others. We SO appreciate their generosity in saying yes. I hope that you might get a chance during the weekend to thank them too - for being generous, for being brave (lots of introverts in the bunch), for being vulnerable and sharing their journey.

All our team are volunteers - I would hate to calculate the hours and hours of work, of emailing, of organising and trips to banks and phone calls and visiting venues, maintaining the blog and fb, the baking, the offering of accommodation and pick ups and drop offs, organising more stuff and sharing of ideas. All done for you by other beautiful, generous, busy, women. Maybe I go on about this too much but I can promise you that these women are busting their buttons because they want you - lovely, special, worthwhile you - to have a special weekend. A weekend to connect with others and a weekend to be able to talk blogging with people who don't think that makes you a little odd. I am so proud of them and so privileged to have them in my life.

Every one of the team have also paid the $50, many of them have offered accommodation, and transport and some of them are baking for supper and morning tea.... they care that you have a great time.

I so, so hope you have a wonderful weekend.....only 4 more sleeps my friends and friends-to-be. I hope your name tag is coming along and a little gift is selected for your partner.

It is such a pleasure and a privilege to be bringing you Around The Table - Bloggers Connecting and I promise that we are looking forward to meeting you.

Safe travels, God-Speed beautiful women. I hope you have a fantastic week and I'm looking forward to hugging the huggers and refraining from hugging the non-huggers :o)

  18. Hi There. I can't believe I only just found out about this on 'Stuff'. I would have been there with bells on, but with short notice sadly I have to miss out. I blog about gardening and feeding my family at gardeningkiwi.wordpress and without blogging my life would be quite empty. I have been blessed to have had my blog turned into a book that was released last month (The Good Life). I would have loved to connect with other kiwi bloggers as most of my followers are from overseas. Maybe next time...
