What Am I Going to Weeeaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrr????????

Ever stood in front of your wardrobe and wailed those words?

Of course you have my dear one, you are a woman are you not?

While I can't help you decide what to wear I can tell you some things that might help

Today we went for a walk through town - temperature about 13 degrees, wind chill probably brought it down to 9.

Before this weekend the weather has been so hot (unbearably so if you ask me) that I've been hesitant to tell you what you should pack.

Today I changed my mind....

Bring something warm, like a warm coat and if you're thermally inclined you can pack those too.

We have the fire on tonight and it definitely feels autumnal now.

Does that help? I haven't actually decided what I am going to wear but I would suggest these thoughts

Friday night - market indoor and outdoor - layers but remember you have to carry your layers so maybe not your full length bulky fur.

Saturday - climate controlled venue so you should be okay. Saturday afternoon shoppers you might long for (or buy??) some layers.

Saturday night - indoor - with 60 of us talking, yahooing and eating I'd say it will get pretty warm but maybe not shoe-string straps warm...

Sunday morning - walking around town I'll be bringing a coat but again walking and carrying to bear in mind. Also if you want to go on the rooftop garden - narrow, metal, spiral staircase - not good for heels, long and floaty or micro mini skirts (unless you really like your underwear choice).

Does that help? Hopefully we don't end up with 25 degree heat and sunburn. Maybe have a check of the long range forecast the night you pack. And don't forget your PJs and a toothbrush.

And just remember you won't be the only person agonising over the lack of choices you have, the fact that nothing fits properly, that you just want to wear jeans and a sloppy t-shirt but you're feeling performance pressure.

Wear what you like and feel happy in - as my mother always said 'no one will be thinking about you anywhere near as much as you think they will'. (And if you like being over-dressed that's okay too I rather enjoy being overdressed so you will have company).

Photos from town today I was a little bit cold and I really don't get cold.

  5. Haha, I was just thinking tonight...what on earth am I going to wear?? I am freezing in Hamilton today and wore my cardie all last week up North!! I prefer being cold to hot but the change from constant muggy heat in Brisbane has been a bit of a shock.
Can't stop laughing about 'unless you like your choice of underwear' hahaha
I am sooooo not fashionable and that will be my big struggle!!!!
    Can't wait to meet you!

    1. I totally prefer cold to hot too I get very offended with the weather here when it gets into the high 20s or worse 30s!!! :o) I'm not fashionable either I never know what is in or out of fashion but I definitely march to the beat of my own drum when it comes to clothing (and maybe life!)

  9. I was just thinking about this this morning- I hardly have any nice clothes anymore thanks to weight loss and a reflux baby! As long as I turn up in something without baby puke on it I think I will do OK.

  10. I've decided if it's cool enough I'm going back in time and will wear my 1913 outfit. I'll also attempt to not be covered in paint!
