Welcome Katie

Katie is a Wellington blogger who's jumping across the ditch to meet us. She originally hales from the UK so I'm looking forward to her accent!! :o)

Pop over and say hi to her,

My name is Katie

Where do you live? In Wellington currently. We moved here from Palmerston North in September last year. And moved to New Zealand from the UK in 2005.

What are 5 words that describe your blog? Adventures in craftiness, crochet & paper-projects (I am notoriously bad at keeping things short hence the ampersand and hyphenated words!)

Why did you decide to come to this get together? To meet the people behind the blogs. There are some fantastic blogs that I read and it will be great to meet the people that create them. Having some Airpoints to use for the flights helped too :-)

What do you most hope to take away from the weekend? Real-life friendships and hopefully some tips for a better blog!

What is your biggest hurdle to coming? It sounds like there are a few bloggers similar - I am shy and terrible at speaking in big groups. Really hope I can get over that and introduce myself to people. It will also be my first nights away from my little boy but I am sure his Dad will keep him busy and entertained while I am there :-)

Do you know any of the other bloggers who are coming? I know a few via their blogs but haven't yet met any bloggers in real life (but I am hoping to meet with some lovely Auckland bloggers when I visit there this month)

Would you describe yourself as an introvert or an extrovert? Definitely an introvert!

If you were to participate in a reality TV show or competition TV show – what would it be? And why? Given the choice I will always be the person behind the scenes rather than in front of the camera! If I had to choose probably some kind of crafty show - I am not sure anything like that exists but how great would that be - big brother for crafters and each week there is some kind of crafty challenge!

Have you been to Christchurch before? (unless you live here of course!) Yes, I used to visit fairly regularly for work before I had my wee boy. I haven't been since 2010 though so expect it will seem like a different place completely. I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone :-)

  1. Awesome! I'm looking forward to meeting you Katie! :)

Hehe, sounds like there are going to be lots of busy Dads that weekend! :p

  2. There's a house in Banks peninsula that is excitedly awaiting your arrival =). And a family, too. Looking forward to meeting you!

  3. Yay! Will be great to see you again!

  4. Thanks ladies :-) Can't wait to meet everyone.
Slightly concerned those of you expecting a British accent will be disappointed though - my accent is weird - people in England can't work out where I'm from half the time :-)
